1. Move as you like
Take a deep breath, and embrace the present moment. Listen to the music with your body and let your dance unfold. Feel into your presence beyond thoughts and images, letting the music serve your honest self expression and exploration. There are no choreographies or any specific estethique one should reach for. This is an open playground for the embodied expression and exploration of life.
2. No talking on the dance floor
To really deepen the embodied experience of Ecstatic Dance, we silence the words and let our body express and communicate. Even if talking is not allowed, you are still welcome to use your voice. Feel free to humm, laugh and cry to your hearts extent. While doing so, kindly take others into consideration.
3. Respect yourself, each other and the space
Personal space is important, so approach other dancers only with consent. Some might choose to dance deep in their own space, while others want to be more in contact. Through mirroring each others movements you can show that you are open to engage in a dance together with someone. Remember that you are always free to leave this shared dance at any point you choose. As a sign of ending the shared dance, you can place your hands together in front of your heart in reverence for this shared moment.
