Laura Valkeapää is a freedom coach, sex educator, and social worker. In the “BEHIND THE PARENTING ROLE I & II” workshops aimed at parents, we take a step further and delve deeper into examining one’s true self behind the role. What was I like before becoming a parent? What did I enjoy, get excited about, and feel passionate about? When was the last time I paid attention to my own needs and desires? What kind of inner dialogue does the real ME have with the parent ME, and how do I ensure that I don’t lose myself to the role, but rather act as a parent from my authentic self?

RIGHT TO BE ME (TEENAGERS) (FIN)

In the youth’s ‘RIGHT TO BE ME’ workshop, we explore external pressures and the restrictive beliefs they create, and then give them the cold shoulder. Throughout the workshop, participants identify their own strengths and draw power from them. The workshop is relaxed, conversational, and connective.
