Love Letters from Me to Me is a collaborative art installation that pauses on a journey of love. The piece is a journey of exploration by visual artist and community artist Sini Suodenjoki into identifying and articulating her own strengths. A journey in which the artist gently learns to love herself and to accept herself and her experiences. The artist also encourages festival visitors to participate in the work. Festival visitors can write a love letter to themselves and hang it up as part of the work or take it with them as an important message to themselves. Love Letters from Me to Me is a personal glimpse into the life of the artist, but grows with the letters of the participants into an oasis of love and self-compassion from which to draw the energy of love. Hopefully, the work will inspire festival-goers to a loving and empowering sense of self.
