Artist, speaker & meditation instructor. Juurikkala has released a book called “IRTI” this spring. He has gone through many clinging and letting go during his 30 years of spiritual seeking. Nowadays Ville is freed also from seeking and lives without any intoxicants (including coffee & sugar). He speaks for spiritual growth that values human needs – letting go doesn’t happen by forcing.
FACING PAIN AND LETTING GO (FIN) – Other Inspirations
The first part of the workshop is physical exercises (shaking, shouting, laughing and breathing exercises) and a sound journey that deals with facing grief. Ville also talks about his own journey. He used to avoid the pain (with alcohol etc.) but nowadays encounters it (with therapy, barefoot walking and ice meditation etc.). The workshop includes discussion about letting go, which happens through facing pain. It’s easier to be happy when you cry often. A meditation pillow or yoga mat is good, but not necessary. (STRONG)
LETTING GO (FIN) – Lecture
In his lecture on letting go, Ville goes through his colorful life. It has included many addictions and liberations. In addition to words, the journey is told by photographs. The lecture also contains a lot of discussion with the audience. The topic of the discussion is letting go that respects human needs. Letting go that doesn’t happen by force. However, even though a large part of the lecture takes place in dialogue with the audience, not everyone has to be talking, but you can participate just as a listener.
IMMERSION IN THE FOREST (FIN) – Meditation
Ville’s forest meditation is based on Jarko Taivasmaa’s ”Forest immersion method” but Ville has also applied a few of his own exercises. In addition to meditation, it includes physical exercises (tapping, shaking, movement & breathing exercises) and a guided immersion in the forest. A meditation pillow or yoga mat is good, but not necessary. (YOGA MAT, KIDS FRIENDLY)
